There are two types of personal pronouns: Subject Pronouns and Object Pronouns
The subject is the person, place or thing that is doing the action. Subject pronouns replace the name of the subject in the sentence.
For example:
Susan did not come to college today. She had to go to the doctor.
Here, "Susan" is the subject and "she" is the subject pronoun.
Object is the noun that receives the action in a sentence. Object pronouns take the place of the object in a sentence.
For example:
After Elena bought a car, it got stolen within a month.
Here, "car" is the object and "it" is the object pronoun used to replace car.
